Biocybernetics is the science that deals with steering and control processes in organisms and ecosystems.
In line with this, our process organisation is not linear in nature but follows a systemic concept. There are universal
thought and data flows from development and design to tool-making, series production, integrated measuring
technology, automated assembly and perfect logistics.
Our strictly secret competence:
Development.
Universal data flows from the idea via the 3D volume into the CAD/CAM stage and to the partly automated tool production and robot-integrated series production provide an uninterrupted order processing sequence, shorten process times, and guarantee the highest degree of reliability.
Close cooperation with customers:
Design.
The application of specific tools takes the development and design process closer to customers and makes it faster, safer and more economical. We make use of formalisation (clear definition of tasks, processes, objectives and release levels), FMEA (failure modes and effects analysis: systematic, process-oriented and preventive quality assurance), QFD (quality function deployment: the conversion of product requirements into part and component requirements with regard to the choice of materials, technology and benefits), TC (target costing: awareness of costs, time and empathy with customers), simulation technologies (mould flow simulation) and virtual reality.
Tool-making integrated in processes.
The development of Wild & Küpfer’s tool-making is ahead of its time and invariably state of the art. The operating of machining centres such as the HSC milling centres, WEDM and EDM centres is process-controlled by means of universal data management.
The latest technology is called:
LaserCusing.
LaserCusing is based on the fusion of one-component metallic powder materials by means of laser. This process makes it possible for tool parts to be generated layer by layer from virtually all metallic materials. The metal powder is completely melted on layer upon layer, which means that internal stress and distortion problems are mastered, and a component density of nearly 100% is achieved. Typical layer thicknesses range from 20-50μm. The sophisticated and patented exposure strategy also makes it possible for larger tool cores to be generated without deformation. One advantage of this new laser application is the fact that particularly in the case of highly complicated 3D moulds, cooling channels can be arranged in a concerted manner, which results in optimally cooled tool components and thus in lower-distortion parts with substantially shorter cycle times.
Production runs 24 hours, seven days a week.
Economically successful series production is only possible if work is not interrupted and quality is guaranteed. At Wild & Küpfer, this task is performed by an impressive number of state-of-the-art injection moulding machines and robots. Specially trained professionals control and monitor the machinery.
Assembly as fully automated system manufacture.
Dexterous operators finish individual parts, assemble subassemblies, and print and mark the articles in-house. Wherever it makes economic, ecological and technological sense, robots assume this task, for which robot systems of the latest generation are in operation around the clock.
Quality assurance: system-integrated measuring technology.
Thanks to systematic, process-oriented and preventive quality assurance, tool-making and series production are subject to stringent quality control. Continual checks of actual and nominal values allow for automated, universal processes for the further processing of workpieces and for final inspection.
We do not surrender responsibility until our parts are yours.
An ingenious logistics system ensures reliable just-in-time delivery. To have a guarantee that the right products will be in the right place at the right time is reassuring.
